• Justin Fields (CHI) Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+225)

This week's Thursday night Football matchup involves the Washington Commanders taking on the Chicago Bears. With the Commanders currently favored at -1, and the total set at 37.5, the sportsbooks are clearly expecting a close but low scoring matchup. One of the underrated storylines for this week is Washington's injury report. With Jahan Dotson and Logan Thomas likely to miss on the short week, I expect some other guys to pick up the slack.

One interesting target for Washington is rookie TE, who made his first career start last week. While John Bates is involved, Turner is a significantly more athletic tight end, capable of winning in man coverage and scoring both inside and outside the redzone. Turner had 10 touchdowns in his final season at Nevada, and was known as the main redzone threat. I was impressed with what I saw on film in his limited usage last week, I think this is definitely worth the risk at +1400.

Justin Fields is a bit simpler, considering what we’ve seen from this Washington defense. While they have been better at getting to the quarterback in recent weeks, that should flush Fields out the pocket giving more rushing attempts. Fields has 7+ rush attempts in every game this season, and I think he has a better matchup than the Bears traditional backs.

Washington's secondary hasn't been good this season, but the Bears passing attack only has 4 touchdowns this season. When they score, I expect it to be on the ground.
