Super Bowl 59 Odds

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Odds
- Opening point spread: Chiefs -1
- Opening moneyline: Chiefs -120/Eagles even
- Opening total: Over/Under 49.5
- Time: 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday, Feb. 9 (FOX)
UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM opened K.C. -1.5, and that's where the number is now, though at -105 juice. Earlier today, the Eagles were seeing 52% of spread bets and 64% of spread money, along with 60% of moneyline bets/57% of moneyline cash.
That trend continues, yet the need is not the Chiefs.
"We've been getting more Eagles action today, and tons of Over bets," BetMGM trading manager Christian Cipollini said. "But it's still not eclipsing our Chiefs futures liability. So Eagles and Under is still ideal."
The total opened at 48.5, peaked at 49.5 Jan. 27 and has mostly been at 49 the past two weeks. It went to 48.5 this afternoon and is now 48.5 (Over -115).
UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: South Point sportsbook, with respected veteran oddsmaker Chris Andrews running the show, has K.C. as 1-point chalk tonight. That's where the Chiefs opened back on Jan. 26, and they quickly moved to -1.5.
On Jan. 27, Kansas City hit -2 for a few hours, then returned to -1.5, where the number remained until going to -1 Tuesday.
"Right now, my best scenario is Chiefs and Under. More money on the Eagles for sure, but that's starting to even out. A lot of Chiefs money is starting to show, certainly in the last six to eight hours," Andrews said.
As for the total:
"I just did my what ifs. I took $100,000 on Under 49 and went to 48.5. But I'm back to 49," Andrews said. "The public is just overpowering the wiseguys. The wiseguys are definitely on the Under."
UPDATE 3 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Since this line went up Jan. 26, DraftKings Sportsbook has been almost exclusively at some iteration of Chiefs -1.5. Kansas City is currently -1.5 (-105).
Ostensibly 24 hours before kickoff, it's two-way point-spread play. The Chiefs are landing 54% of spread tickets, while 55% of spread money is on the Eagles. The moneyline is also getting two-way action, though with a lean toward Philly, at 55% of bets/52% of money.
"Bettors are split pretty evenly on this game," DraftKings director of sportsbook operations Johnny Avello said. "We opened at 1.5 and haven't moved since, which is very rare for a Super Bowl. We're in good shape at the moment.
"But we expect the majority of the action to come in within the next 24 hours, so that can certainly change."
DraftKings opened the total at 48.5 and peaked at 50.5 within minutes back on Jan. 26. The number then spent a couple days at 49.5, and it's been at various versions of 48.5 since Jan. 29.
The total is now 48.5 flat, with 76% of bets/81% of money on the Over.
UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: With 47 hours until kickoff, Kansas City is 1-point chalk in Fanatics Sportsbook's odds to win Super Bowl 59. The Chiefs opened -2, quickly went to -1.5 and stuck there until dipping to -1 Wednesday.
"We're seeing a lot of two-way play. That's why it's staying inside that 1/1.5 mark," Fanatics trader Ethan Useloff said.
When accounting for both straight bets and parlays specifically at Chiefs -1, 60% of spread bets are on K.C., while 75% of spread money is on Philadelphia. On the moneyline – again, combining straight-bet and parlay action – the Eagles are seeing 54% of bets/58% of money.
"The Eagles have the better roster. But the Chiefs have Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and I would add Steve Spagnuolo to that list," Useloff said, alluding to K.C.'s defensive coordinator. "It makes for an enticing game to bet on."
The total opened at 49.5 and has been stable for days at 48.5. The Over is taking 77% of tickets and money.
UPDATE 1 P.M. ET FRIDAY: For perhaps 30 minutes late this morning, ESPNBET moved the point spread to pick 'em in Super Bowl 59 odds. It's now back at Chiefs -1 (-105).
On Jan. 26, K.C. opened -1.5, went to -2 and very briefly to -2.5, before settling back at -1.5, where it remained until Thursday. The Eagles are landing 56% of spread bets/55% of spread dollars.
Moneyline action also favors Philly, at 55% of bets/60% of money.
"We've seen sustained momentum on the Eagles over the last few days, which has now started to overtake early action on the Chiefs," said Adrian Horton, ESPNBET's director of North American sports trading. "The split of tickets and money continues to tick toward Philly, as we get into the heavier wagering days leading up to the game."
The total opened at 49.5 and is now 48.5. But it's one-way traffic on the Over, at 80% of bets/79% of money.
UPDATE 5 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Less than 72 hours before kickoff, Wynn Las Vegas is at Chiefs -1 (-115) in 2025 Super Bowl odds. Back on Jan. 26, K.C. opened -1 and quickly scooted to -2, albeit briefly.
The line then went to -1.5 where it stuck until dipping to -1 (-120) Wednesday, then -1 (-115).
"The majority of the time, this game has been 1.5, and we had complete two-way action at that number," Wynn sportsbook director Doug Castaneda said. "We were trying to stay as high as we could, anticipating some Chiefs money."
Wynn took sharp action on Eagles +1.5 and even saw smart play after Wednesday's move.
"A lot of sharp money on Eagles +1 at even money," Castaneda said, before addressing moneyline action. "We were lopsided on Chiefs moneyline action, but most of the smaller tickets are on the Eagles. The public is mostly on the Eagles.
"We had some VIP/big-ticket plays come in on the Chiefs. And we anticipate more Chiefs money on that moneyline."
Chiefs moneyline is currently -125 in Wynn's Super Bowl 59 odds.
With everything factored in – spread, moneyline and futures – Wynn is rooting for the short underdog.
"Our best-case scenario is probably the Eagles winning straight up. And there's nothing really on the total. I guess we'll need the Under, because of all the parlays," Castaneda said.
The total has toggled between 49/49.5 and is currently 49.
UPDATE 7 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Kansas City is down to -1 (-105) in Caesars Sports' Super Bowl 59 odds. The Chiefs actually opened at -1 back on Jan. 26 and quickly advanced to -1.5/-2.
K.C. then returned to -1.5 Jan. 27 and didn't budge again until dipping to -1 Monday evening. The move to -1 (-105) came this afternoon, thanks to a series of big sharp Philadelphia plays.
"We took three $100,000 bets just today, on the Eagles +1," Caesars head of football trading Joey Feazel said. "A lot of sharp money is coming in on the Eagles right now."
But Caesars isn't eager to move this matchup to pick 'em.
"We don't want it to go there. If anything, we'd rather flip the line to Eagles -1," Feazel said.
On the spread, Philly is netting 52% of bets/56% of money. On the moneyline, it's 53% bets Eagles/56% money Chiefs.
The total opened at 49.5, went to 49 last Wednesday and hasn't moved since. No surprise, the Over is attracting 75% of bets/72% of money in 2025 Super Bowl odds.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET TUESDAY: After a week-plus of stagnation at Chiefs -1.5, Hard Rock Bet dipped to -1 this afternoon. On Jan. 26, Kansas City opened -2, and the line was mostly at -1.5 until today's move.
Philadelphia is taking 61% of spread bets, while spread money is running dead even. On the moneyline, 59% of bets/56% of dollars are on K.C.
Hard Rock's total is down to 48.5 from a 49.5 opener. However, per usual for Super Bowl odds, it's heavy Over action, at 84% of bets/81% of money.
UPDATE 3 P.M. ET TUESDAY: BetRivers, which operates in 15 states, has the Chiefs at -1.5 in Super Bowl odds. Kansas City opened -1.5, went to -2, then returned to -1.5.
Interestingly, 66% of early spread tickets and 60% of early spread dollars are on the Eagles. There's a $40,000 bet on Chiefs -1 (-123), with the customer buying a half-point.
On the moneyline, 58% of tickets are on Philly, while money is almost dead even, with a slight lean toward Kansas City. There are two sizable moneyline wagers at BetRivers:
- $63,370 Chiefs -135, to win $46,940.74
- $55,000 Chiefs -132, to win $41,666.67
"Despite some hometown fans skewing our bet counts in favor of their beloved Birds, moneyline and spread dollars are still relatively balanced between the Eagles and Chiefs," BetRivers director of sportsbook operations Zach Schlouch said. "We'd expect additional public money to accrue on Kanas City, as recreational bettors build their tickets at a higher rate in the coming days."
The total opened at 47.5, climbed to 48.5/49.5 and is now 49. The Over is landing a solid 81% of tickets and a more modest 60% of money. BetRivers took a $40,000 bet on an alternate total of Under 50.5 (-132).
In Super Bowl prop bets, Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown is the most-bet market at BetRivers. Additionally, bettors are hitting the Over on rushing props for Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.
UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY, FEB. 1: With nearly a week behind us and a week to go, Kansas City is -1.5 (-115) in BetMGM's Super Bowl odds. That's up a tick from the -1 opener, with the line at -1.5 since Jan. 29.
It's two-way spread play in BetMGM's digital market (mobile/online betting). The Chiefs are seeing 55% of tickets, while 51% of cash is on the Eagles. On the moneyline, Philly is the lean, at 62% of tickets/61% of cash.
"The first week of Super Bowl prep has bettors loving Eagles moneyline," BetMGM trading manager Christian Cipollini said. "However, with our futures liability on the Chiefs factored in, the book still needs the Eagles right now."
The total opened at 48.5, got out to 49.5 within nine hours or so, then fell to 48.5 (Over -120) on Jan. 31. Now, it's at 49 in Super Bowl 59 odds, with 76% of tickets/70% of cash on the Over in 2025 Super Bowl odds.
Of course, Super Bowl prop bets are generating a lot of action, too.
"Other heavily bet markets include Patrick Mahomes rushing props, the coin toss, and Saquon Barkley finding the end zone," Cipollini said. "There's a ton of Overs on Travis Kelce props, too."
BetMGM also took a $25,000 wager on Kelce +1500 to win Super Bowl MVP. That bet alone would net $375,000 for the bettor.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY, JAN. 31: The Eagles opened as 2-point favorites in Fanatics Sportsbook's Super Bowl 59 odds. Philadelphia dipped to -1.5 Monday, and there's been no movement since.
When accounting for both straight bets and parlays, 54% of early spread tickets and 64% of early spread dollars are on the Chiefs. Fanatics trader Ethan Useloff said moneyline action similarly leans toward Kansas City.
"The Eagles are such a unique team to go against. They've been to the Super Bowl before, but they're also kind of hated by the public," Useloff said. "I think that lends itself to some folks surprisingly rooting for a Chiefs three-peat."
Useloff noted he doesn't see this spread moving much, if at all.
"My thought was it would stay below a field goal, and I'd be surprised if it got to pick. I think 1.5 is probably the right number. It's been sitting there the last four days. I'm guessing that's where it's going to close," he said.
The total opened at 49.5 and now sits at 48.5 in 2025 Super Bowl odds. Again, accounting for both straight bets and parlays, the Over is nabbing 81% of tickets/68% of money.
"A lot of folks like to root for the Over. So they'll put their money on it on straight bets or throw it in a parlay," Useloff said, while noting that two years ago, the Chiefs and Eagles combined for 73 points in a 38-35 K.C. victory.
"A lot of folks see that, then see 48.5, and think they're gonna blow that out of the water."
UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY, JAN. 29: Borgata Sports is a BetMGM shop in Atlantic City, about an hour from Philadelphia. So the book often sees a lot of regional bias in the form of Eagles action.
However, that's not the case so far. Kansas City opened and remains -1.5 in Super Bowl odds. The total is up a tick from 49 to 49.5.
"Surprisingly, when we opened this at the conclusion of the AFC Championship Game, all of the early bets were on K.C. and the Over," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "Since then, it's been decent two-way action. We certainly aren't lopsided on the game.
"There's a little more money on Philly at the moment. But we've taken some good money on the K.C. moneyline."

The size and scope of the Super Bowl is impacting some of the usual regional bias at Borgata.
"I think most people are expecting us to be overrun with Eagles money, due to where we sit regionally. But when it comes to the Super Bowl, you never know," Gable said. "It's not necessarily difficult to get some big bets on the other side."
Even Borgata's futures book in Super Bowl 59 odds isn't too out of line.
"We definitely have liability on the Eagles. But it’s nowhere near what we were facing two years ago when these two teams met in the Super Bowl," Gable said. "That year, we were looking at seven figures of liability on Eagles futures, and we were able to book out of a lot of that for the game.
"But this year, we aren’t even close to what we were facing that year. We are in great shape in terms of Chiefs futures."
Among the notable futures bets at Borgata: $50,000 on Eagles +700 to win the Super Bowl. The bet was made Jan. 12, before Philadelphia's 22-10 Wild Card win over Green Bay.
UPDATE 5 P.M. ET MONDAY, JAN. 27: Caesars Sports opened the Chiefs -1 and quickly got out to -2 Sunday night. Early this afternoon, Kansas City nudged to -1.5. All those numbers are slightly counter to what bookmakers would've made Super Bowl odds a few weeks ago.
"Before the playoffs started, we would have had the Eagles as a favorite in this game. But the Chiefs opened with a slight edge, given how they have played in the playoffs," Caesars head of football trading Joey Feazel said.
Early bettors seemed to agree with Feazel.
"The early action [was] very much on the side of the Chiefs," Feazel said, noting a 65%/35% split on both spread and moneyline action in the first couple hours Sunday night. "We expect this to continue throughout the week, as the Chiefs are striving for that coveted three-peat, which has never been done in NFL history."
The total opened at 48, sped to 49.5 Sunday night and is still at 49.5 this evening in Super Bowl 59 odds.
There are still nearly two weeks until game day. But due to futures bets, Caesars might be rooting for the Chiefs, at least for the moment. The book took a $200,000 bet on Eagles +275 on Jan. 19, a bet that would pay out $550,000. Caesars also has a couple notable five-figure futures plays on Philadelphia.

UPDATE 10:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY, JAN. 26: Kansas City (17-2 SU/9-10 ATS) got all it could handle from Buffalo in the AFC Championship Game, as expected. A late field goal, followed by turning the Bills over on downs, gave the Chiefs a 32-29 win as 1.5-point home favorites.
K.C. is going for the first Super Bowl three-peat in history. Two years ago, the Chiefs were getting 1 point and edged the Eagles 38-35. Last season, Kansas City was a 2.5-point underdog vs. San Francisco and won 25-22 in overtime.
In the NFC Championship Game, Philadelphia (17-3 SU/13-7 ATS) rode Saquon Barkley and a 4-0 turnover edge to a 55-23 beatdown of Washington. Barkley had a 60-yard TD run on the Eagles' first play from scrimmage. He finished with 118 yards and three TDs on just 15 carries.
The Eagles obviously cashed by a mile as 6-point home favorites. Philly has been rolling since Week 6, going 15-1 SU and 11-5 ATS.
The SuperBook opened Chiefs vs. Eagles at K.C. -1 in Super Bowl odds. The first move came literally within a minute, to Chiefs -1.5.
"We opened -1 because of what our risk room had these two teams power-rated," SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon said. "We took some early Chiefs action, plus the market moved us to -1.5. Tickets and money are pretty split early on."
That said, SuperBook vice president John Murray has a pretty good idea of how things will unfold between now and Feb. 9.
"I think the public will back Kansas City, and we will need someone to beat the Chiefs this time. Scary thought," Murray said.
The total also bounced around in the opening minutes, from 49.5 to 50, then back to 49.5 in Super Bowl 59 odds.
UPDATE 3 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Will we get a rematch of the 2022-23 season? In that matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in a riveting Super Bowl 57. Or will we get fresh blood with the upstart Washington Commanders vs. the Buffalo Bills?
The first team to take its place in Super Bowl 59 odds will come from Sunday's NFC Championship Game. Either Philadelphia (16-3 SU/12-7 ATS) advances for the second time in three seasons, or Washington (14-5 SU/12-6-1 ATS) reaches the Big Game for the first time since the 1991-92 season.
Interestingly, in that 1992 game, the Commanders beat the Bills 37-24.
The second team to secure a spot on the Super Bowl odds board will come from Sunday's AFC Championship Game. Either Kansas City (16-2 SU/8-10 ATS) will stay on track for its unprecedented third straight title, or Buffalo (15-4 SU/12-7 ATS) will makes its first title appearance since the 1993-94 season.
In fact, that 1994 game marked the fourth straight Super Bowl appearance for the Bills. And they lost all four, the last one a 30-13 setback to the Dallas Cowboys.
