Transformers One, Joker: Folie à Deux, and Venom: The Last Dance Expected to Beat Beetlejuice’s $110 Million Opening Weekend Internationally
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has secured the second-highest September opening to date, but with four months remaining in 2024, that record could be surpassed thanks to a few upcoming releases.
Big contenders like Transformers One, Joker: Folie à Deux, and Venom: The Last Dance are on the horizon and could potentially overtake Tim Burton’s latest film at the box office.
According to our sports betting expert and movie enthusiast, several upcoming movie releases are projected to fall under their box office expectations. On September 13, The Critic is expected to come in under $50 million, followed by The Killer’s Game under $40 million, My Old Ass under $30 million, and Speak No Evil under $20 million.
The glitz and glamour of casinos can make its way into Hollywood as well. The gritty Scorsese film Casino (1995) grossed a total of $14.5 million in it’s opening weekend. Or, $29,926,706.04 if adjusted for inflation! If you like casino movies, you should check out our Best Social Casinos and Hollywood Casino Promo Code pages.
“Even though some movies may not beat the hype of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, there are some heavy hitters expected to soar past their box office targets,” says our own sports betting expert and movie enthusiast.
Transformers One, releasing on September 20, is projected to exceed $110 million, followed by Joker: Folie à Deux on October 4, which is also predicted to break $110 million. Then, in late October, Venom: The Last Dance is expected to join the over-$110 million club.
Another one to watch is Saturday Night, dropping on October 11, as it is expected to pull in over $50 million.
