Deposit match, explained
While the BetMGM deposit match isn't influenced by your first bet, there are a few things you need to know. You'll get 20% extra in bonus bets added to your account, on top of what you deposited.
The most important is the 10x rollover, which means that whatever you earn in bonus bets, you'll have to wager 10x that in your first month on the platform, or you forfeit the bonus.
So say you deposit $2,000 to get $400 in bonus bets. You must wager $4,000 in your first month to cash it all out.
This is doable for some users who plan on betting regularly at BetMGM, but others who are using it as a secondary book.
If you're going to deposit $1,000 or less, you're better off taking the bet/get offer to secure $200 in bonus bets with a small deposit.
Bet/get offer, explained
The bet $10, get $200 offer is straightforward. You can make a $10 bet on just about anything at "standard" odds, per the terms and conditions.
So let's say you deposit $10 and bet $10 on the Bears at +130 against the Vikings on Monday Night Football.
- If the Bears win, you profit $13, keep your $10, and get $200 in bonus bets. So you'll now have $23 in cash and $200 in bonus bets.
- If the Bears lose, you'll have $0 cash left but $200 in bonus bets.
BetMGM will return your $200 in four, $50 increments, and you have seven days to use them.
