Real Madrid vs Arsenal Preview

Last Tuesday will go down as one of Arsenal's greatest European nights. But now, they need to back up that result with a decent showing at the Bernabeu. Defend their 3-0 lead against Mbappe, Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., and the rest, and they'll be in the Champions League semi-finals, where they'll play PSG.

Last week saw Arsenal thrashing the current champions 3-0, with Declan Rice starring. Since then, the Gunners have been held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford, while Real beat Alaves 1-0, despite having Mbappe sent off in the first half.

Jorginho and Thomas Partey both sustained injuries against Brentford, but only Jorginho will miss the clash in Madrid. The other Arsenal players out are Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, while Riccardo Calafiori is unlikely to play. Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are out injured for Madrid, while Eduardo Camavinga is suspended. Andriy Lunin and Ferland Mendy are doubtful to play.

Prediction

Madrid have no option but to attack tonight, which is something they have no problem doing. But this could open the door for Arsenal, depending on how adventurous they are. Expect a win for Madrid, but can Arsenal keep the score low enough to qualify?

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Preview

Tonight's other Champions League match is still finely balanced, with Inter holding a slim 2-1 advantage over opponents Bayern Munich. While the bookies slightly favour the Germans, Inter's defence is rock solid at home, so Bayern will find it tough in attacking areas.

Last week's 2-1 win for Inter was a great result for the Italians. Since then, they've taken down Cagliari 3-1 to maintain their position atop Serie A. Bayern played out a 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund, but still have a 6-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.

Inter have Piotr Zielinski and Denzel Dumfries out with injury, but Mehdi Taremi and Kristjan Asllani will be available after missing the first leg. Bayern will be without Jamal Musiala, who is out for the season, plus Manuel Neuer - he'll be replaced by the youngster Jonas Urbig. Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, and Alphonso Davies are also injured.

Prediction

Inter Milan won't be too adventurous in this match-up, relying on their defence to protect their lead. But with Bayern's injury woes, they look vulnerable, so Inter could still find success in front of goal. It'll be tough for Bayern to turn round the tie, but certainly not impossible.

Our Champions League Prediction: Inter Milan 1-1 Bayern Munich
