First up for our Premier League predictions, there's Manchester City vs Crystal Palace. The Citizens need a good result to climb back into the top five, while Palace are playing for pride at this point, with no realistic chance of European qualification.

City certainly haven't been in great form recently, although there are signs of improvement, while Palace are on an eight-match unbeaten run. So, this game could be closer than you might think, especially with the absence of Erling Haaland from City's squad.

Other than Haaland, City will be without long-term absentee Rodri, along with Nathan Ake, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji. Palace will still be without Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure, while Marc Guehi and Eddie Nketiah are both suspended. Maxence Lacroix and Chris Richards will both be assessed before the game.

Prediction

This is a tough one, as City are so hit-and-miss with their form recently. What's more, Palace are on an impressive run. The smart money says City will take this, especially with Palace's weakened defence, but the away side should cause problems.

Our Premier League Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest vs Everton Preview

Nottingham ForestDrawEverton

Everton's season is pretty much over, but the same can't be said for Forest. They've confounded all expectations and sit snugly in Champions League qualification, five points above sixth place. Win today, and fans will be even more confident of appearing on football's biggest stage next season.

Last time out, Forest dropped three points against Villa, which saw their push for Europe stutter. Everton haven't won in six outings, drawing five times in the process. The last time the two sides met, Forest ran out 2-0 winners, but that was before David Moyes added some backbone to the team from Liverpool.

Chris Wood, Anthony Elanga, and Taiwo Awoniyi are all doubtful for Forest, putting a big dent in their offensive effectiveness. Ola Aina will definitely miss the game. For Everton, the only concern is Jesper Lindstrom, who could be forced out with a groin injury.

Prediction

Everton are draw specialists and playing well under David Moyes. But Forest need the three points and will be highly motivated to take them. Home advantage should help Forest, but if all three attackers mentioned above are out, scoring could be more problematic than usual.

Our Premier League Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Everton

Arsenal vs Brentford Preview

Arsenal are in a strange spot. They've all but surrendered the league title, but are still almost guaranteed Champions League qualification. So, their eyes will instead be on travelling to the Bernabeu next week, and not on Brentford. But Brentford also have little to play for, with mid-table obscurity beckoning.

Arsenal haven't tasted defeat in eight matches in all competitions, plus they're coming off a stunning 3-0 win over Real Madrid during the week. Brentford's form isn't as impressive, winning only once in their last five. Last time the teams met, Arsenal unsurprisingly walked out 3-1 winners.

The Gunners will be without Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz, Gabriel, Takehiro Tomayasu, and Gabriel Jesus, plus could rest several players ahead of their trip to Madrid. Brentford have Igor Thiago, Josh Dasilva, and Fabio Carvalho sidelined through injury.

Prediction

Arsenal might not have both eyes on the prize, plus could rest players, but they should still take all three points against Brentford. Arteta just needs to motivate his players to take the game seriously and not lose focus after their midweek heroics.

Our Premier League Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Brentford

Other Premier League Predictions: April 12, 2025

Two other Premier League matchups take place today. See our Premier League predictions for them below:

  • Brighton vs Leicester: Brighton have fallen off the pace recently, but are still pushing for Europe, while Leicester look all but relegated. Expect Brighton to get back on track and take all three points. Our Premier League Prediction: Brighton 3-0 Leicester
  • Southampton vs Aston Villa: After an important win over Forest, Villa will look to continue their winning streak against lowly Southampton, already relegated to the Championship. There's no excuse for Villa not to win easily. Our Premier League Prediction: Southampton 0-2 Aston Villa
