Everton vs Arsenal Preview

First up, we come to Everton vs Arsenal, today's early kickoff. Arsenal fans must now realise they're almost out of the title race, but a win here will keep some hopes up. Everton, on the other hand, have transformed into a tough team, especially at home, so Arsenal's task won't be as simple as some might believe.

Everton lost their last match, 1-0 against Liverpool, but showed they're no rollovers. Before that, they'd drawn four games on the bounce. Arsenal come off a midweek victory over Fulham and have now won two consecutive Premier League games, bringing an end to a disappointing run of league form.

The big injury news is Gabriel being ruled out for the season. He'll be joined on the sidelines against Everton by Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Ricardo Calafiori, and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Everton will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil, and Orel Mangala, but Iliman Ndiaye should be fit to return.

Prediction

Arsenal are the favourites, but you mustn't underestimate Everton. The Toffees have turned into a tough team under David Moyes and won't make life easy for Arsenal. The Gunners also have an important Champions League game in midweek, so how hard will they go today?

Our Premier League Prediction: Everton 1-1 Arsenal

Crystal Palace vs Brighton Preview

The M23 Derby takes place this afternoon, with both sides looking to get back to form after disappointing midweek performances. Palace don't have much to play for, but the lure of Champions League football is still there for Brighton, who are five points off fourth spot.

Crystal Palace avoided an upset during midweek, as an injury time goal rescued a point against rock-bottom Southampton. Brighton were hammered at home by Villa. Palace's result means they've now not lost in four Premier League outings, while Brighton were on a good run of form, until they came up against Rashford and his Villa teammates.

Palace won't be able to call on the services of Cheick Doucoure, Joel Ward, and Chadi Riad. Brighton have a long injury list, which includes Adam Webster and Georginio Rutter, both of whom picked up season-ending injuries in the last week.

Prediction

Each of the past five meetings between these two teams has ended 1-1. Brighton need the win, but Palace are proving to be a decent side, so spoils could yet again be shared at Selhurst Park.

Our Premier League Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton

Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest Preview

Possibly the day's biggest clash, the game between Villa and Forest could have big ramifications on the Champions League race. Villa might be down in seventh, but they're still very much in the race for Champions League qualification, while Nottingham Forest continue to confound expectations, sitting pretty in third, five points ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea.

Aston Villa go into the game after a dominant 3-0 victory away to Brighton, while Forest are fresh off downing Manchester United. Forest haven't lost in four Premier League games, while their opponents today are on a two-match winning streak.

Injury-wise, Villa will be without Ross Barkley and Leon Bailey, plus Morgan Rogers could miss out after sustaining an injury against Brighton. Forest will be without Alex Moreno, but could welcome back Chris Wood. Callum Hudson-Odoi will also be available for selection.

Prediction

Both teams are looking strong. But Villa seem to have hit their stride, with Rashford now scoring and Marco Asencio looking every bit the player fans hoped.

Our Premier League Prediction: Aston Villa 3-1 Nottingham Forest

Two other Premier League games take place today. Check out our predictions for them below:

  • Ipswich vs Wolves: Both sides are coming off midweek victories, and a win for either today will be a huge boost to their Premier League survival hopes. Ipswich have been poor at Portman Road recently, so Wolves have a great chance to emerge victorious. Our Premier League Prediction: Ipswich 1-2 Wolves
  • West Ham vs Bournemouth: West Ham haven't got much to play for this season, while Bournemouth have been on a horrible run of form. This looks like it could be a close game, as has been the case in previous encounters between the two sides. Our Premier League Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Bournemouth
