Brazil vs. Switzerland Picks, Predictions, Odds

Bettors could see a team advance to the World Cup knockout round from Group G on Monday when Brazil and Switzerland will both be looking to add three more points to their resume.

Brazil vs. Switzerland Picks & Score Predictions

The Samba Boys can wrap things up in Group G with a win here. Brazil faces Switzerland with the sides locked at the top of the group with a win each. Eleven quality players will start for Tite’s Brazil on Monday but the focus will be on one who isn’t. Neymar will miss the rest of the group stage after sustaining an ankle injury against Serbia on matchday 1.

But Brazil has options in reserve. A start for Fred and a switch to a 4-3-3 is the obvious choice. Either way, expect that front three to stay the same. Brazil’s new R9,

Richarlison grabbed both goals on Matchday 1. He’s scored at least once in six of his last seven appearances for the Brazil national team. +210 for Richarlison to score anytime feels a little too good to be true.

The bookies are expecting a convincing win for the number 1 ranked team in the world. The Asian line is at around Brazil -1 with the goals over/under at 2.5. It seems about right.

Switzerland is in good form but it’s not a tight defense. The 1-0 win over Ghana last week was Switzerland’s only clean sheet in their last 11 major tournament games. It’s +135 for Brazil -1.5 on the Asian handicap line which wins should the Samba Boys win by two or more goals.

Score Predictions:
Brazil 2 Switzerland 0 (+600)
Brazil 3 Switzerland 0 (+900)

Brazil vs. Switzerland Best Bets

Richarlison to score looks like the value pick for this one on Monday. The bookies are expecting a one or two-goal Brazilian win. The player shots market has plenty of value too. Expect Real Madrid man Vinicius Junior to step up in Neymar’s absence. The winger had four shots against Serbia and is +100 for over 2.5 shots during this match.

Best Bet: Richarlison to Score Anytime at +210

Brazil vs. Switzerland Odds

Brazil -223
Switzerland +600
Draw +350
Over 2.5 (-125)
Under 2.5 (+100)

Unsurprisingly, Brazil is the favorite. It’s -223 for Tite’s side to earn three vital points in their quest for knockout stage qualification. It’s +350 for the draw with Switzerland out at +600 to win. The former looks good considering both previous World Cup meetings between these nations finished all square.

Brazil Betting Outlook & Players to Watch

Brazil grew into the game against Serbia but this will be a very different side without star man Neymar. His absence from that attacking midfield position will open things up for the wide men. Expect more involvement from Raphinha and especially Vinicius Junior. They are +225 and +230 respectively to score anytime.

Lucas Paqueta caught the eye in midfield. He looked a different player from the one we’ve seen for West Ham United this season. Taking on a more defensive position, Paqueta took a bigger role in breaking up play. He had more tackles than his midfield counterpart Casemiro. Paqueta is +125 to have over 2.5 tackles in the match which looks good.

Switzerland Betting Outlook & Players to Watch

Switzerland’s hopes of getting something from this game rest on the shoulders of Breel Embolo. The Monaco forward has scored in his last three competitive matches for Switzerland. Each of them was the winning goal. +550 looks a decent price for him to get one at any time.

Switzerland struggled to get Granit Xhaka into the game against Cameroon. The midfielder is in the form of his life for Arsenal with almost as many goals as yellow cards. Anyone who watches the midfielder play will know what an achievement that is.

Still, he only made 44 passes against Cameroon in a game they had the better of. Expect him to be even quieter here. I’ll be backing under 45.5 passes for him at -120.
