What’s Going On?

Week 9 of the CFL season opens with a Thursday game that actually will count in the standings. Knowing that these football teams will use their starters for the entire game makes it a perfect spot to open a Betfred account.

Simply use the bonus code VIBONUS when you join Betfred, and once you bet $50, you’ll get $250. Tonight’s contest finds the undefeated 8-0 Winnipeg Blue Bombers (6-2 ATS) traveling to Montreal for a matchup with the 2-5 Alouettes (4-3 ATS). This Betfred deal is only available for US Residents.

Montreal is +5.5 and their money line is +190. If you think that’s too many points, you can get Winnipeg at -240 straight up. The total is set at 47.5 and is -105 for the the over and -115 for the under.

Why Should You Care?

Getting 5-1 on your deposit from Betfred is a great way to pump up that bankroll for the weekend. Plus, this is the only football game tonight that will allow fans to see the same names on the back of the jerseys when this game starts as they will when it ends. There are a few adjectives that can be used to describe sports bettors that bet on preseason football. Most of them aren’t complimentary.

Having eight weeks of data means you’re in the heart of the CFL season and the perfect time to cash some tickets on this north-of-the-border league. Especially when you have arguably the best team in the CFL looking to go a perfect 9-0.

Can Anyone Beat The Blue Bombers?

You don’t win eight straight games without being a pretty good team. The Bombers are near the top of the league in a few offensive categories.  Zach Collaros leads a club that’s completing over 70% of its passes and is averaging nine yards every time they throw the ball. Only BC (16) has more touchdowns than the Bombers’ 15 through the air.

It’s when they don’t have the ball where Winnipeg is showing why they’re looking to win another Grey Cup. Opponents are scoring just 17 points a game against them. Part of that might be because other teams are only completing 63% of their passes and have had only two rushing scores in nine games.

Why Didn’t The Coaching Change Help Montreal?

The Alouettes were 1-3 and on a bye week when they fired both their head coach and defensive coordinator. They’re 1-2 (with the W against Ottawa) under the new coach and their GM Danny Maciocia and have allowed 89 points in those three games.

This season it may not matter who’s coaching since the players aren’t playing well. Montreal is in the middle of the pack with most of their stats on offense. They are near the top in yards per rush and rushing touchdowns, but when you’re on a field that’s wide and long like the CFL has, relying on running plays won’t get you to the Grey Cup finals.

It might, however, if you play against these Als since they’re allowing over 107 yards rushing per game and have given up 11 TDs on the ground. Both stats are at the bottom of the league’s numbers.

This Is A Great Spot To Open A Betfred Account!

Betfred Bonus Code - VIBONUS

Calgary played Winnipeg tough last week, and the Bombers still came away with the road victory. The Blue Bombers have covered four straight with three of those on the road and have a W in the ATS column in six of their last seven.

This is the first of a back-to-back series that will see these two play again in Week 10 at Winnipeg. When they played consecutive weeks last season, the Bombers won the first matchup at Montreal by 10, and the Als returned the favor by upsetting Winnipeg in their own backyard 28-14.

Use that Betfred bonus code VIBONUS to open your new Betfred account and lay the points with Winnipeg on the road. They’re doing so many things the right way that it’ll be a surprise when they do lose that first game. The way things look on paper, that won’t be happening before Week 11.
