Bet $50 at Betfred on the Nationals and Dbacks, Get up to $250 in Free Bets
Diamondbacks are looking towards the future, but they have been for a few years now. It has become a way of life for Arizona. The Washington Nationals are just three removed from the crown and now face a rebuild. The Nationals are facing that reality more now than ever. They inevitability of Juan Soto not being a National has left a dark cloud on the organization as the trade deadline looms. He rejected an offer to make him the highest paid big leaguer of all time, so we assume a trade is imminent.
The Diamondbacks have opened the second half of the season with two straight wins against the Nationals by a combined score of 17-3. Both teams are in dead last in their respective divisions and just trying to end the season on a good note. The Diamondback will aim for a sweep before National League West rival San Francisco comes to town.
Betfred Sportsbook is offering a chance to win $250 in free bets after an initial $50 wager on -200 odds or better. After your initial wager settles, Betfred will deposit a $100 in free bets into your account. Each of the two weeks you make a minimum $1 wager on -200 odds or greater, they will deposit another $50. You get paid by placing wagers! Using the code VIBONUS could net you $250 in free bets!
Betfred Sportsbook has the Arizona Diamondbacks slightly favored at -120 on the money line. The Nationals are at even odds. Both teams are not profitable this season, with the Diamondback down -408 at a $100 per game. The Nationals are worse off, being down -2,130 at a $100 per game. A $100 wager on the Nationals would net a return of $100 profit.
The matchup will feature two righties in Erick Fedde and Corbin Martin. Erick Fedde carries a 4.91 ERA that includes an eight earned run effort against the Atlanta Braves just two games ago. The surrounding four games have been two earned run or fewer efforts. The Diamondback will counter with Martin who is making just his 6th appearance this season. Just twice has he pitched four complete innings, and we expect that trend to continue. He owns a 4.40 ERA.
The total for this matchup is set to 9.5 with both the under and overpriced at -110. Going back until last season, five of the 11 meetings have plated a minimum of eight plated runs. The Diamondbacks have been able to plate runs in bunches in this series, and the struggling Nationals bullpen may be why. They own a 4.39 ERA, but that’s just a tick above the Diamondbacks who have a bullpen ERA of 4.33. We can see a lot of runs being plated in this one.
