What’s Going On?

Week 8 of the CFL Season starts another week of football in the summer. This Thursday’s game is a perfect time, if you’re a US resident, to take advantage of the BetMGM Risk-FREE play.

BetMGM is offering a bonus code, VIBONUS, that gets you a Risk-FREE bet of up to $1,000. Tonight, Montreal 2-4 both straight up and against the spread is getting 3 points at Hamilton. You can also take them without those points at +135. The home team, whose record is also the same on the field as with the spread at 1-5, is -160 on the money line. This matchup has a total of 49 and that’s -110 both ways.

Why Should You Care?

This deal from BetMGM is for US residents only and lets you have a $1,000 Risk-FREE bet. That means if you’re wrong in your handicapping assessment you won’t have to go too hard on yourself.

Last week all four home teams lost ATS, and visitors are on a 7-2 run when the points are taken into consideration. It’s that parity amongst this nine-team league that makes every week an exciting lesson in sports betting and handicapping.

Is Montreal A Playoff Team?

Sure, having a 2-4 record doesn’t look promising, and if the Alouettes were in the West Division, it wouldn’t be. In the East, they’re sitting right behind a 3-2 Argonauts and there are a lot of games left to be played. The team responded to the coach getting canned by beating Ottawa.

To catch Toronto the Als are going to have to get a little more out of their offence. While, the passing game isn’t bad, averaging over nine yards a pass, they’re rushing for less than 80 yards a game. Their instability at the QB rotation has seen them throw as many interceptions as they have touchdowns. Trevor Harris played one of his best games of the season last week, but it was against a 0-6 Redblacks team.

Any time a club is giving up a lot of points it puts pressure on the defence. Montreal hasn’t handled that well. They’re giving up over 28 points a game and teams are running all over them. The 5.0 yards per run and over 107 yards rushing per game are both at the bottom of the league statistics.

Will Hamilton Help Keep The CFL Home Losing Streak Intact?

Hamilton plays great at home, for the first half. In their last two season at Tim Hortons Field, the Tiger-Cats are 11-1 ATS before halftime. They’re 6-6 ATS for the Game in those contests and are on an 0-4 streak ATS.

They’re not scoring, averaging less than 18 points a game and both their yards per play and yard per pass are at the bottom of the CFL stats page. Although the Cats are allowing over 26 points a game, they’re doing a decent job getting off the field. The total yards they allow per game and the average they give up for every rushing attempt are near the top of the league’s numbers.

What’s the best way to use your BetMGM bonus code, VIBONUS, to get a Risk-FREE bet of up to $1,000?

If (such an important word when handicapping) the Als can’t run the ball, they may be in trouble. Hamilton is allowing only 4.3 yards a carry and also has one of the lowest passing yards allowed per game.

In the first half of this season’s games, only Winnipeg scored more than 10 points on the home team. Let’s take Hamilton at home for the first half. Hopefully, the Cats’ lack of quality play in half two will show up and the game will go down to the wire.

That’s when having Under 49 with the BetMGM $1,000 Risk-FREE play will make it easier to watch the end of the game. That last three minutes of CFL football can get pretty stressful.
