This series was all but over with the Colorado Avalanche up 3 games to 1 and heading back to Denver with a chance to close it out. Colorado played from behind much of Game 4 and now head back to Tampa to try and win their first Stanley cup since 2001.

The Lightning stayed alive on their quest for three in a row behind a 35-save performance from Andrei Vasilevskiy and a third period goal from Ondrej Palat. The Lightning obviously have the championship pedigree, and behind their home fans will try to force a Game 7.

The Colorado Avalanche find themselves as -115 on the money line, while the Lightning are -105.  Last time out, a big chunk of change was riding with the Avalanche on the puck line, but now bettors will have less of a price to pay if they still believe the Avalanche are the team to beat. A $100 wager on the Avalanche on the money line will return $87.

Odds are courtesy of BetMGM, and they are offering a risk-free bet up to $1,000 for your first wager. You must use the bonus code VIBONUS at signup to be eligible for this promotion.  If you wager on either the Colorado Avalanche or Tampa Bay Lightning and lose the bet, BetMGM will refund your account the amount of the original wager.

The favorite is 18-6 in the last 24 meetings between the Avalanche and Lightning, while the home team is 4-1 in the last five head to head.

Another betting option for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals is the total.  This total is once again set at six like it has been for the entire series. The first three games of this series flew over the total, with at least seven goals in each game. The last two games saw just five goals each, which could explain the slight juice being placed on the under at -125.

A $100 wager on the under will yield $80, but again at BetMGM the first bet is risk free up to $1,000 if you utilize the VIBONUS promo code at signup. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these clubs, and 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two in Tampa Bay.

While the over seems to favor the Colorado Avalanche who have hit it in six of their last eight games, the Lightning have been trending more towards under the total. The Lightning are 12-4 to the under in their last 16 games, and six of their seven at home have gone under the total.

Will the Avalanche close it out and bring home their third title in franchise history? Will the Lightning win their third Stanley Cup in a row?

Make your predictions by wagering at BetMGM, where your first bet can be risk free up to $1,000. Utilize the code VIBONUS at signup and get to wagering (must be 21 years of age and in a legal betting state).
