Rookie wide receiver Dalton Schoen caught his fourth touchdown this season. Linebacker Adam Bighill tallied six tackles and a sack. The 4-1 Stampeders are coming off a bye week after being edged by the Blue Bombers 26-19 in Week 6.

That Week 6 matchup came down to the final play in Winnipeg. Calgary wide receiver Kamar Jordan couldn’t haul in an end zone pass as time expired.
Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros passed for 315 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Greg Ellingson caught 11 receptions for 152 yards for the Blue Bombers. Blue Bombers wide receiver Carlton Agudosi tallied two touchdowns. Stampeders kicker Rene Paredes converted all four of his attempts, with a long of 50. Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell amassed 187 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
The Blue Bombers have yet to have a bye, while the Stampeders have already had two.
Offensively, the Blue Bombers rank fifth in the CFL in points per game (25.7). Ellingson will miss his second consecutive game with a hip injury. Ellingson is second in the CFL with 34 receptions and 518 yards. Slot back Nic Demski will return to the field for the first time in a month after sustaining an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, the Stampeders (28.2) are second behind only the BC Lions. Ka’Deem Carey is second in the CFL in rushing yards per game (75.8) and averages 6.5 yards per carry.
Defensively, the Blue Bombers are first in the CFL in points per game (16.3), with no other team allowing under 20. The Stampeders are tops in the CFL in yards per play (5.8).
The Stampeders had a rough week at practice with a few illnesses that seeped into the locker room and forced six players to sit, such as Carey, offensive lineman Derek Dennis, and linebacker Jameer Thurman. However, after they all missed a few days of practice, they’re all back on the field and should be able to start.
The Blue Bombers are favored by -1.5 points vs. the Stampeders. For the money line, the Blue Bombers are -120 and the Stampeders are +100. The over/under is set for 46.5 points.
When the Stampeders face off against a team with a winning record, the under is 6-1 in those contests. The Stampeders are also 21-8-3 against the spread in their last 32 contests coming out of a bye week.
The Blue Bombers have captured 12 Grey Cups, most recently in 2019 and last season. The Stampeders have eight Grey Cup titles, with the last coming in 2018.
The Stampeders will exact revenge by handing the Blue Bombers its first defeat of the season in a another tight contest.
