BetMGM: $1,000 Risk-Free on LAFC vs. Houston Dynamo
The Los Angeles FC Black and Gold will face the Houston Dynamo at Banc of California Stadium for a chance to get back on track before the playoffs commence. LAFC sits in first place in the Western Conference table with 61 points. Second place is Austin FC with just 55 points. LAFC built the table lead throughout the season but has not played good soccer as of late. They have just one win in their last six matches. In that space, they have four losses and one tie.
They played in Houston on August 31 and lost 2-1. Sebastian Ferreira and Griffin Dorsey each found the net for the Dynamo and were able to counter the Cristian Arango equalizer. Now they get a home crowd to push them across the end-of-season finish line.
The Dynamo have had a very disappointing season overall, sitting in 14th place out of 15 in the Western Conference. They have earned just 33 table points behind a 9-6-16 record. The Dynamo have won twice, tied twice, and lost twice in their last six games. LAFC has a +26-goal differential this season, while the Dynamo have been outscored by 10.
BetMGM Sportsbook is offering all new players a risk-free bet on their first wager up to $1,000. To redeem the wager, you must use the VIBONUS bonus code at signup. If you first wager settles as a loss, BetMGM Sportsbook will deposit the original wager amount up to $1,000 by way of free bets.
Editor’s note: This welcome offer is temporarily unavailable in New York. If you are currently in NY, you will NOT be eligible for the risk-free first bet.
BetMGM Sportsbook has the LAFC listed as massive -450 money line favorites. The Dynamo backers would enjoy a nice payout because they come in at +1000. A $100 wager may be worth a look since the Dynamo just enjoyed a victory against LAFC. The $100 wager would net a $1,000 profit. Soccer also provides a line on a draw, and that comes in at +575 at BetMGM.
The Dynamo relieved Paulo Nagamura on September 5th and have promoted Kenny Bundy to lead them for the rest of the season. Bundy got his first win as a manager, 3-1, against the New England Revolution. He will be trying to gather a few more wins to close the season, which he could use as a tryout to drop the interim tag next season.
He has only managed two games, but Houston arguably looked a whole lot better than they did the entire season under Nagamura. He is 1-1-0 in those games, and grabbing a road win in Los Angeles could be another check mark to add to his resume.
While the Dynamo may be playing for something, so will the Black and Gold of LAFC. The Philadelphia Union lead LAFC by two points for the Supporters’ Shield title, and while LAFC has struggled down the stretch, the Union have been red-hot as of late.
Over 3.5 goals is set at at -130. The under is -110. The Black and Gold have not seen four goals in six of their last seven matches. The Dynamo just won 3-1, but that was their only game seeing at least four goals in seven tries. The under may be worth a look based on those numbers.
BetMGM Sportsbook will have all the wagering action desired on this late-season matchup. The money lines are expensive, but looking at the LAFC at -1.5 on the 2Way Handicap may be a reasonable alternative for those LAFC backers. The -1.5 spread is priced at -175, and a $100 wager would net a $57.14 profit. BetMGM will also have totals, first halves, second halves, props and even some live betting.
Remember to use the VIBONUS bonus code when signing up at BetMGM Sportsbook, and get your first bet risk-free up to $1,000.
Until next time, enjoy the ride.
