The Cincinnati Reds will try to grab at least one win in the remaining two games of this series after dropping the first one by three runs and yesterday’s game by a run. After five scoreless innings yesterday in Philadelphia, the sixth inning exploded behind three runs from the Reds and four runs from the Phillies. The ninth provided a lot of fireworks as well after the Reds took the lead in the top half. Nick Maton than walked it off for a Phillies win.
The Phillies are World Series contenders, and with Harper working his way back through triple-a rehab starts they will have a decent shot. It sounds crazy to say considering they are just 2.5 games up for a wild card spot. They also went and got an arm in Noah Syndergaard at the trade deadline to help bolster their rotation, and over the last 80 games have been playing really good baseball. The Reds are in rebuild mode, but picking up wins could help the momentum going into next season.

Caesars Sportsbook has the Philadelphia Phillies as sizable favorites laying -260 on the money line. Understandably, the Reds are +205 on the money line. The Reds may be worth a look considering they were up going into the bottom of the ninth inning last night. For the confident Phillies backer, the run line may be a better option to buy back some value. The Phillies -1.5 run line is priced at a more reasonable -120.
The Reds will utilize T.J. Zeuch on the bump. He has been grossly inefficient in limited action so far this season. He has posted a 13.50 season ERA, albeit just through eight innings played. In two starts he has allowed six runs apiece spanning four innings in each start. The most worrisome part if you plan on backing the Reds today? His last start was against these Phillies.
The Phillies will counter with Christopher Sanchez. He has mostly been utilized as a bullpen guy, but has since made some spot starts to help an injured rotation. His two starts have been a combined eight innings allowing just two earned runs. His last five appearances he has only allowed two earned runs combined.
The total on this matchup is set to 9, and with the pitching matchup you will be laying a little more juice on the over, sitting at -120. The under is even money. These clubs have trended in slightly different directions when it comes to totals. The Reds have seen the total go over in five of their last six contests on the road. The Phillies have seen the under hit at a 10-4 clip in their last 14 games overall.
Caesars Sportsbook is offering a wealth of riches to entice new players, and this Red and Phillies game may be a great game to take advantage of the Caesars promotions. Remember to utilize the VIMAXSPORTFULL bonus code at sign up and get three amazing things: $1,250 wager on Caesars, 1,000 Caesars Tier Credits and 1,000 Caesars Rewards Credits.
