What’s Going On?

The first full week of the NFL preseason has a good one scheduled for Friday night. It’s a rematch of one of last year’s NFC Divisional games. The Green Bay Packers travel to Levi's Stadium for a game with the San Francisco 49ers.

FanDuel has a wager that should pique your interest just by hearing its name. When you open a new account with FanDuel and ask for the bonus you’re getting a “No Sweat First Bet” up to $1,000. That name screams no-brainer! The home team is giving 2 ½ and their money line is -145. If you like the Packers in this one, you’re getting +125 and the total is posted at 33 ½.

Why Should You Care?

A No Sweat First Bet is the perfect sports betting tool for an NFL preseason game. It’s way too early in the season to be stressing out over a football wager. You’ll have September through January to get your blood pressure soaring and the FanDuel bonus deal doesn’t even require a promo code. Just sign up for an account and tell them you want the No Sweat First Bet, that’s all you have to do.

Handicapping these practice contests can be risky if you read too much into them. There are 90 players on a team’s roster today and by opening week that number will drop down to 53. Almost 40% of the players from these games won’t make their squads. When you see trends that have lasted for multiple seasons, you take advantage and bet on NFL preseason football.

Will The Packers Bounce Back From Last Year’s Failure?

Green Bay finished the regular season 13-4 (12-5 ATS), the number one seed in the NFC and they didn’t make it out of the first game against these 49ers, even though it was at Lambeau. That makes Aaron Rodgers 0-4 in his playoff career against the 49ers and the first quarterback in the history of the NFL’s Super Bowl era to lose four times to a single opponent.

Last year’s early games saw the Pack go 0-3 both straight up and against the spread. In those three tilts, they scored a grand total of 21 points. They’re currently on a run of 1-7-1 ATS and that record over the last eight preseason games away from home is 1-6-1. In the second halves of those games, they’ve scored a total of 24 points after halftime.

Can The 49ers Repeat Last Year’s Run In The Playoffs?

This 49ers club was only the 3rd best team in their own division, and they made it to the NFC championship game. They finished 10-7 (9-8 ATS) and last year’s practice games saw them go 2-1 (1-2 ATS).  The fact that the guy behind the center for this club going forward will be different than the one that led them on that playoff run is the biggest 49er story heading into this year.

Trey Lance, the QB that was 19-0 in games he played at North Dakota State, has been named the starter and it’s his team now. It’s going to be an interesting start to the season for 49ers fans as they watch their franchise try to get back to that NFC championship with a player that has two career starts under his belt.

You Couldn’t Have A Better Game To Use That FanDuel Sportsbook “No Sweat Bet”!

When you see all the Ls that pepper the visitor’s previous preseason results it makes sense to look elsewhere for a play on this one. Sure, Fanduel is offering a “No Sweat First Bet” and you don’t even need a promo code, but you’d still rather win your play and have that $1,000 winning than utilize that Fanduel offer.

Use your “No Sweat First bet” on the home team. Rodgers probably won’t play, and Lance needs as many reps as they feel comfortable giving him. Take the 49ers for the first half too and while you’re at it if this one is close at the break take San Francisco for the second half as well.
