CFL playoff seedings are unique in how the final six teams are decided. Normally, the top three teams from each division make the final bracket. However, the league has a “Crossover” possibility and if the fourth-place team from one division has a better record than the third-place team from the other side they get to swap divisions and earn a chance to play for a Grey Cup title. That’s exactly where we are this season as not one team in the East is above .500 while both Calgary and the Roughriders are there in the West.

Can The Stampeders Win The Most Important Road Game Of The Season?

This is the third game these two will have played this season. Calgary lost both times, by six as a visitor getting 3 ½, and at home by seven as a 2 ½ point favorite. They’re only completing 63% of their passes and while they lead the league in yards per game and per rush, they’re only scoring a tad more than they allow each week, and their record is a little misleading. Against the East, they’re 4-0 but the only team they’ve beaten in their own division is the last placed Elks.

On defence, the visitors are allowing almost 400 yards a game and, although they do have 13 interceptions and are only allowing 82 yards a game rushing, they’re getting torched for 300 yards a game through the air. This team is 4-1 ATS on the road with that aforementioned lone loss to Thursday’s host.

How Will The Blue Bombers Come Of A Bye After Finally Losing A Game?

Winnipeg had a couple of chances to win their last game before losing to Montreal in overtime. That was their first loss of the season and preceded last week’s bye for a team that still is holding on to first place in the West with the best record in the CFL.

Although, the home team is averaging fewer points a game than this week’s guest they are completing over 70% of their passes and averaging almost nine yards a pass. This offence is fairly well balanced as they also are third in the league with over 101 rushing yards per game.

Beating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers isn’t going to be easy since they lead the league in a handful of defencive stats including allowing a scant 18 points a game and holding the other team’s QBs to a 63% completion rate. They are also giving up just 81 yards rushing a game and in ten games have conceded just 14 touchdowns.

This Will Be A Great Game And The Perfect Opportunity To Join Fanduel!
