Red Bull is California’s Most Popular Energy Drink: 40,000 Red Bull Searches Per 100K in the Last Year

With National Energy Drink Day set for September 29, we decided to check out how popular energy drinks are in the US. California has the highest demand for energy drinks, specifically Red Bull, with 40,000 searches per 100K population. However, this should come to no surprise with their population being close to 40 million!

Monster Energy Drink with its variety of coffee, tea and original energy drinks flavors is the second most popular energy drink in California with 14,800 Google searches per 100K.

Thirdly, Celsius drinks are a rising energy drink but have the fewest Google searches out of the three energy drinks in California, with 8,100 Google searches per 100K.

Top Five States Energy Drinks Are Most Popular

Even though California has the highest search volume per 100K out of all 50 states, Energy drinks are most popular in Oregon, specifically Red Bull per 100K based on their population, with 4,400 searches for Red Bull per 100K over the last 12 months.

Oregon's second most popular energy drink is none other than Monster Energy, with a search volume of 1,000 per 100K.

Oregon's third most popular energy drink search goes to Celsius Energy Drinks, which has 720 searches per 100K. Even though Celsius Energy Drinks may not be as big as Red Bull or Monster, there’s still an interest in the variety of flavors available such as its Sparkling Wild Berry that keeps states like Oregon interested.

Nevada, well known for its nightlife and casinos, which would require people to stay up later than most, is the second state for the highest search volume per 100K out of all 50 states for energy drinks.

Nevada has 2,900 searches for Red Bull per 100K, 1,000 searches for Monster Energy per 100K, and 720 searches for Celsius per 100K.
