UFC 275: Teixeira vs. Prochazka Prediction
Glover faces the first challenger to his throne in Jiri Prochazka.
Jiri is a violent fighter with an extremely high finish rate. He gets hit a lot, but he always makes sure to dish out as much as he takes in his bouts. We have seen Jiri compromised in his two UFC outings however, as he was rocked against Oezdemir as well as knocked unconscious for a split second against Reyes (something he admitted to later). Glover gets hit too but given his high level grappling skills he has a safe haven on the mat - sort of like Charles Oliveira, the champion at 155-pounds.
Prochazka does have age on his side as Glover is the second-oldest UFC champion of all time, however given Glover's recent form I see no reason to believe his age will be a significant factor here. At 42 years of age he has never looked sharper.
Jiri is dangerous in the early rounds, but I doubt he will be able to follow Glover down to the mat if he lands clean. He will have to put Teixeira out cold to win here, and as we've seen with these potent grapplers time and time again, they have such a massive advantage that it's hard not to predict them to win.
Prochazka will be tricky to back up due to his striking so I could see Glover getting lit up for the first couple of rounds. His veteran experience should carry him through the adversity though, and I think we will see him retain his title in this fight.
Prediction: Glover Teixeira def. Jiri Prochazka.

UFC 275: SHEVCHENKO VS. SANTOS ODDS COMPARISON
UFC 275: SHEVCHENKO VS. SANTOS PREDICTION
Valentina Shevchenko has only lost to Amanda Nunes over the last decade. Shevchenko has been the second-most dominant female fighter in the UFC behind Nunes, and she has held the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship since December 2018. Since beating Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the title at UFC 231, she has successfully defended her belt six times. Shevchenko finished four of those six opponents and easily won unanimous decisions in the two fights that went the distance.
That dominance is why Shevchenko is such a big favorite by the UFC betting odds ahead of this fight. Shevchenko’s last loss to a fighter other than Nunes was all the way back in 2010 when Liz Carmouche knocked her out at bantamweight. The champion is an extremely skilled all-around fighter with several championships in kickboxing, taekwondo, and muay thai before joining the UFC.
To say Taila Santos has her work cut out for her is an understatement. Santos only joined the UFC a little more than three years ago, and she has yet to take on anyone nearly as talented as Shevchenko. She won a Performance of the Night bonus for her first-round submission of Joanne Wood in her last bout, but Wood is on the tail end of her career with losses in five of her last seven fights.
Santos does have a decent amount of power with 10 knockouts in her 19 wins, but that power has yet to translate to the UFC. Four of her five fights in the UFC have gone to the scorecards, and she lost a split decision to Mara Romero Borella three years ago. That makes it tough to have a lot of faith in Santos even though she is a lucrative underdog.
Prediction: Valentina Shevchenko defeats Taila Santos by knockout

UFC 275: ZHANG VS. JOANNA 2 ODDS COMPARISON
UFC 275: ZHANG VS. JOANNA 2 PREDICTION
This will be the first time that Joanna Jedrzejczyk has entered the Octagon in over two years. Jedrzejczyk suffered a massive hematoma after her split decision loss to Zhang Weili at UFC 248, and she is giving the fans exactly what they want by agreeing to a rematch with Zhang. Multiple outlets named the first fight between these two women as the Fight of the Year in 2020, and Jedrzejczyk would love to avenge that loss.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk might be the most exciting female fighter in the history of the UFC. Dana White and the media have repeatedly praised her for her fighting style, as she is must-see television even if 14 of her 20 career fights have gone the distance. Stamina might be a concern due to her long absence from the Octagon though, and she is a couple months away from 35.
Zhang Weili was originally installed as a -150 favorite in this fight, but there has been a decent amount of action on her over the last few weeks. Zhang is a couple years younger than Jedrzejczyk, and she won 21 straight fights before sustaining two losses to Rose Namajunas last year.
She has a lot of power for a strawweight with 10 of her 21 victories coming by knockout. Only six of Zhang’s 24 fights have gone the distance, but Jedrzejczyk proved that she could go five rounds against Zhang two years ago.
This fight will only be three rounds, yet I’m calling for Jedrzejczyk to pick up a knockout at almost 8-1. She will likely take more chances than she did in the first fight in order to finish her opponent, as Jedrzejczyk does not want to sustain the beating she did at UFC 248.
