Muhammad captured the UFC Welterweight Championship by defeating Leon Edwards at UFC 304 on July 27, 2024 at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
It was almost a wire-to-wire victory for the +220 underdog, who dominated the fight with his wrestling skills and takedowns en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Including the win at UFC 304, Muhammad has won six straight fights with five coming by decisions. Decisions were a common theme, with 10 fights going to the scorecards and that also helped ‘over’ bettors connect with a 10-4 record.
Of the four finishes, two of them took place just before the main event. Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall captured another first-round knockout, easily taking care of Curtis Blaydes.
Prior to the co-main event, Paddy Pimblett posted an eye-opening submission win over Bobby King Green. Paddy “The Baddy” is 6-0 in the UFC with four finishes, three coming by submission.
