Team Betting Notes
-- Atlanta (5-11 SU, 7-9 ATS) has come alive with three victories over the past four outings, and covers in four in a row before an overtime setback at home against Los Angeles (9-7 SU, 8-7-1 ATS) on Sunday. The under has connected in four of the past five for the Dream, too.
-- As far as the Sparks are concerned, they have won five of the past six, and they're 5-1 ATS during the impressive span, too. After an 0-3 ATS run on the road, Los Angeles have covered each of their past two away from home.
-- Chicago (9-8 SU, 10-6-1 ATS) has won and covered back-to-back games, and they're an impressive 4-1 ATS over the past five outings. They're also a solid 3-3 SU over the past six on the road, while going a strong 4-1-1 ATS during the solid stretch. The over has also cashed in five straight outings on the road for the Sky.
-- After showing signs of life, Dallas (5-11 SU, 8-8 ATS) is back to struggling again. They're just 1-4 SU/ATS across the past five outings, and a lack of offense plus struggles on defense has been the recipe for losing.
-- Indiana (6-12 SU, 9-9 ATS) have dropped three in a row since their impressive 20-point win in Dallas on July 5. They have also failed to cover in back-to-back games after a 3-0 ATS run. It won't get any easier with a rough schedule coming up over the next five.
-- Las Vegas (11-5 SU, 6-10 ATS) have rattled off five consecutive victories in a row, including a key revenge game and showdown in Washington (9-6 SU, 8-7 ATS) over the weekend, avenging an embarrassing 23-point loss to the Mystics on June 20. The Aces are still struggling against the number, however, going just 3-7 ATS across the past 10.
-- Speaking of the Mystics, they have fallen on hard times after a 9-3 SU/8-4 ATS start. They have dropped three in a row and failed to cover in each, allowing 91.3 points per game (PPG) during the span. As such, the 'over' has connected in all three outings.
-- Minnesota (10-7 SU, 10-6-1 ATS) have scratched and clawed their way to second play in the Western standings, just 1 1/2 games back of Vegas. The Lynx have caught fire lately, winning and covering four of the past five. Total bettors are happy with them, too, as the 'under' has hit in four consecutive outings.
-- Consistency continues to elude New York (7-10 SU, 7-9-1 ATS), as they have dropped and failed to cover three in a row after a four-game winning streak from June 28-July 5, including three straight wins on the road. The Liberty are playing shoddy defense again, and that's the key to their losing ways lately.
-- Phoenix (7-8 SU, 6-8-1 ATS) won an impressive game in D.C., topping the Mystics by 23 points on July 10. However, they failed to capture the momentum, losing games in Connecticut and Minnesota both by at least 13 points. After a 3-0 ATS run from June 23-30, the Mercury are a dismal 1-4 ATS across the past five.
