The Vegas Insider NFL Consensus Picks provide betting percentages on three different markets and the point-spread is the most popular.
In the below example of the NFL matchup between Cincinnati and Cleveland, there are a total of 18 selections posted on the three markets from our NFL experts.
Moneyline: 1
Total: 4
Spread: 16
The lone moneyline wager was on Cincinnati, which means 100% of the bets were on the Bengals in this market.
The total was a split or simply put a 50-50% consensus, with two experts on the over and another two on the under.
The point-spread had a 10-6 pick selection edge to the Browns and that percentage converted to 62%, with the remaining four picks or 38% on the Bengals.
NFL Betting Consensus Picks Record
What differentiates the Consensus NFL Picks at Vegas Insider is our presentation of the records based on previous weekly trends.
Users can toggle between previous days or weeks and check out how profitable the betting consensus picks fared.
The overall Consensus Picks Record grades each matchup and betting market that had selections posted. The three grades are Win, Loss, and Push.
We identify a Push as a tie and in the case of our NFL Consensus that would be identified as a 50-50% split.
In the above example, the Arizona Cardinals defeated the New Orleans Saints 42-34.
The five moneyline wager on the Cardinals was graded as a Win, while the 7-1 edge on picks for the Saints gave the Spread market a Loss.
The Total (Over-Under) market had a 5-2 edge to the Over which resulted in a Win.
