Betting on the Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are one of the most well known teams to have ever competed in the NFL. The Dolphins have had some of the most famous players at times in the National Football League. So, if you are looking to bet on this much loved team, this is the Dolphins guide for you.
The Miami Dolphins compete in the National Football League in the East Division of the American Football Conference. The franchise is based out of the Miami metropolitan area, and plays their home games at Miami Gardens, Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium. The Dolphins are the oldest professional sports team from Florida.
The Miami Dolphins were one of the first football teams in the southeast United States, along with the Atlanta Falcons. The Dolphins began in the American Football League back in 1966 before joining the NFL in 1970 due to the AFL-NFL merger.
The first time the franchise made it to the Super Bowl was for Super Bowl VI, where they lost to the Dallas Cowboys. However, the year after, the franchise was able to pull off the only perfect season in NFL history. The Dolphins finished the 1972 season with a Super Bowl win to cap off to their fourteen regular-season wins and three playoff victories. The regular season wins of 17-0 made the franchise the third team to complete a perfect regular season.
The following year, the team managed to defend their title and win Super Bowl VIII, which made them the first NFL franchise to appear in three Super Bowl's in a row, and the second team to win consecutive Super Bowl titles. The franchise also made it to Super Bowl XVII as well as Super Bowl XIX, however neither resulted in victories. The team has not been able to win the AFC East for over a decade, since 2008.
Some of the notable players who have been on the Miami Dolphins include Paul Warfield, Larry Csonka, Jim Langer, Bob Griese, Larry Little, Dwight Stephenson, Nick Buoniconti, Dan Marino, and Jason Taylor. The team has had 17 members inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Over the years, the Miami Dolphins have had several rivalries with other NFL teams. This includes three rivalries within the AFC East. These rivalries are with the New England Patriots, New York Jets, and the Buffalo Bills. Their other main rivals have been the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as the Indianapolis Colts.
A type of betting that you will find pretty often in the NFL is moneyline betting. A moneyline bet is looking for the ultimate winner of any given sporting event. Here you will see what a moneyline bet typically looks like:
Miami Dolphins: -109
New York Jets: +109
This example has the favored team as the Miami Dolphins with odds of -109. This means that for every $1 the bettor is looking to earn, they would need to bet $1.09, to bet $109 to earn $100. The underdog team in this faceoff is the New York Jets with odds of +109. This means that for every $1 bet, the bettor could win $1.09, to bet $100 to win $109.

Betting in Florida
Sports betting in Florida has had a rocky time of it, but things are looking better now. Florida sports betting officially launched in November 2021, however due to some legal challenges the major sportsbook had to pull its app the following month in December 2021 before launching again years later. As of right now, Hard Rock Bet is the lone legal sports betting operator in the state of Florida.
Miami Dolphins Partnership With Hard Rock
The Miami Dolphins are currently partnered with Hard Rock Bet, the sportsbook that is behind the Hard Rock Stadium name.
