This is an intriguing contest between a pair of divisional leaders. Brewers vs. Twins will not disappoint.

As of July 11, the Brewers are first place in the NL East standings. Meanwhile, the Twins are atop the AL Central standings. The Brewers recently dropped two out of three from the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates. The Twins lost two out of three from the host Texas Rangers in their last set. 

The Brewers are 1-4 in their last five games. The Twins are 2-3 in their last five contests. 

Alexander has allowed 47 hits, 15 walks, and three home runs, while also throwing 17 strikeouts in 36 innings. Winder has given up 38 hits, 12 walks, and four home runs with 27 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. 

In his last outing vs. the Cubs on July 5, Alexander pitched 5.1 innings and allowed six earned runs and eight hits. The Brewers are 3-2 in the last five games Alexander has appeared in. 

In Winder’s last game at the White Sox on July 5, he gave up two earned runs, and seven hits in 5 innings. The Twins are 3-2 in the last five contests with Winder on the mound. 

As of July 11, the Brewers rank fourth in home runs (119),  eighth in RBI (386), ninth in slugging percentage (.413), 15th in on-base percentage (.316) and 22nd in batting average (.237). Left fielder Christian Yelich leads the Brewers in on-base percentage (.345) and hits (79). Designated hitter Andrew McCutchen is tops for the Brewers in batting average (.253). Shortstop Willy Adames has a team-leading 17 home runs. First baseman Rowdy Tellez is first on the Brewers with 55 RBI. 

Prior to July 12, the Twins ranked fifth in on-base percentage (.324), sixth in batting average (.254), slugging percentage (.424) and RBI (390), and seventh in home runs (111). First baseman Luis Arraez leads the Twins in batting average (.348), on-base percentage (.420) and hits (100). Center fielder Byron Buxton is tops for the Twins with 23 home runs. Second baseman Jorge Polanco has a team-best 44 RBI. 

The Brewers are 39-48 against the spread overall and 21-26 against the spread on the road. For over/under, the Brewers are 43-40-4 overall and 23-21-3 on the road. 

The Twins are 39-49 against the spread overall and 18-25 against the spread at home. In terms of over/under, the Twins are 41-41-6 overall and 18-22-3 at home. 

The Twins will take the first contest with a tight victory vs. the Brewers as they head into the series finale.
