Why Should You Care?

Series this time of year can often end up being playoff previews, and when the Dodgers head to Milwaukee to face the Brewers, that’s exactly what we could have. The best team in baseball facing a club that’s in the heart of both its division race and the wild card picture.

Los Angeles is -172 and even money on the run line. The home team is +144 and if you take the 1 ½ -120. Tonight’s total is set at 7.5 and is -110 each way.

Should Dodgers fans be concerned after their loss to the Royals?

Kansas City shut out the visitors yesterday 4-0, and their staff combined on a 2-hitter. That loss isn’t shaking the confidence of The Blue Crew fans that just witnessed an incredible run by their team. If, for some reason, you’ve been preoccupied over the last two weeks, Los Dodgers were on fire.

They cashed as a run line favorite in 12 straight games. Their record is the best in baseball, and you’re going to have to play very well if your plan is to beat this team in a series. These two clubs haven’t played yet this year, and last season home teams won seven of the eight contests.

Julio Urias is on the hill for L.A. and is 12-6 with an ERA of 2.49 and a .97 WHIP. In his last five starts, he went at least six innings each outing throwing between 89-96 pitches. He lasted a total of 33 innings, allowed 23 hits and walked two (in four of the games he didn’t allow a base on balls) and gave up four earned runs with one homer. That lone dinger came five games ago, and the ERA for that effort is 1.20.

Do the Brewers have enough to get back to the playoffs?

Last year, Milwaukee won their division with 95 wins. They just lost two of three to the Cards and now trail them by 1 ½ games in the NL Central. That’s the same amount that they’re behind the Phillies for the last wild card spot. Last year, the Brewers took three of the four against this team in the games that were played at American Family Field.

Freddy Peralta gets the start for the home team. He’s 4-2 with an ERA of 4.37 and a WHIP of 1.14. In his last three, he didn’t make it past the fifth in any of them. His numbers for those games were 11.2 innings with 12 hits, 3 walks allowing 9 earned runs, and one homer.

This is a great NL matchup to start your week with a No Sweat First Bet from FanDuel

FanDuel No Sweat Offer

It hasn’t mattered whether it was your first bet on Los Angeles or your 11th, recently there’s been no sweat when you had the Dodgers on your ticket. However, even great teams go on slumps. Knowing that when you open a FanDuel account and ask for the bonus you’re getting a “No Sweat First Bet” makes this a perfect game to sign up with FanDuel. There’s no way you can bet against L.A. right now. You either bet them or don’t bet the game. Use that FanDuel special to take the visitors to win the game. Take 75% of that wager and add that to a ticket with the Run Line.
